Lake Alfred Church of God by faith was established here in Lake Alfred in 1921 in a wooden frame building which also served as the community school. Then in 1930 a new sanctuary was built using cement blocks. The unique nature of this structure is that each block was hand poured into wooden molds dried at night and set into the building during the day. We are a small loving church with a heart for the community and those in need physically and spiritually.  Our pastor Elder Richard Blocker and Wife Minister Annie Blocker are proven leaders who both participate in community events and are members of ministeral alliances that span across all facets within the community. Their inclusive approach to ministry has touched the lives of many people. If you don't have a church home stop by for a visit I think you will find a wonderful welcoming atmosphere you can fall in love with.
